Ringing in the New Year

Sweater: American Eagle Pants: LC Bag: ASOS Necklace: Forever 21

I am in love with my new ASOS bag I got for X-mas

I can't belive it's already 2011. I still don't know what happened to 2010. I spent the last day of the year shopping with my mom and then a big dinner with everyone. No parties for me this year. Just a casual night at home watching movies and counting down the last few minutes of the year. It's strange to think that some parts of the world are a year ahead of me right know. I hope everyone has a fun (& safe) New Year and that 2011 holds many good things in store :)

Knit & Velvet: A Dangerous Combination

This is the much promised outfit post. I'm trying to be good by posting more lately. I guess I'm doing better than before and all you can ask for is improvement. I absolutely love this sweater. It's the over sized knit piece that I've been looking for. I had also been looking for something velvet. A top, skirt, dress; it didn't matter. Velvet is definitely in this holiday season. Then I stumbled upon these beauties. I had seen them before at a shop in Cali and (of course) they failed to have my size. Who knew I would find them, in my size, in Idaho. What luck! Anyways, I'm off to bake cookies and wrap gifts and all other kinds of holiday joy!
Just in case I don't post anything before Christmas I want to wish all my readers Happy Holidays!

Baby It's Cold Outside

After a 16 hour drive through 5 different states and I have finally made it to Idaho. I  haven't been this cold since I left the east coast. There's snow everywhere and its supposed to snow even more on Christmas. Maybe my dream of a White Christmas really will come true. For whatever reason I can't get my laptop to connect to the Internet so I'm using my grandmothers ancient computer and Ill be lucky if I can even get this posted.

Anyways, it has been super cold and I've been living in layers.Tonight were going out to visit family I haven't seen in who know how long so expect some type of "outfit post" today or tomorrow (depending on this computer)

We passed my beloved city of Las Vegas around 6 am

The Not-So-Grand-Canyon (My brother thought it was the actual one)

Lucy loved looking at the passing scenery. I wonder what she's thinking...

Ever been to Beaver, Utah? I have.

Snowy conditions set us back about an hour but I was just happy it was snowing :)

New Hair for the Holidays

Jacket: Hurley
I can’t tell you all how excited I am for the Holidays! Finals are (finally) over, school is out until the New Year and Christmas is only a few days away. It couldn’t get much better. It’s supposed to rain for the next few days here which is quite a surprise seeing little rains here in the valley. Even when it does rain we Southern Californians still feel the need to wear shorts. Seeing how it was cold and rainy I slipped on my black tights to keep my legs warms and dry. I’ve had this coat for ever and I just love it. It’s perfect for a rainy day. It has a certain chic appeal but the soft fabric makes it comfortable enough for everyday wear. Plus it’s such a bright color that makes event the darkest of day’s fun.
This past week I got my hair done. Not too much of a change as far as length goes but I opted for straight bangs instead of my normal side swept ones and I must say I’m rather happy with them. Something new for the holiday season and a good way to start 2011 which is just around the corner.

A Little Inspiration

Finals are almost over! Only two and 1/2 more to go. Last half of chemistry and algebra tomorrow and Spanish on Friday. Then it will officially be winter break! Eeep! I'm so excited, can you tell? It was really gloomy and icky out today and between studying and school I have have no motivation to put on more than jeans and a tee shirt. Things will get better soon (or at least I'm hoping they will.) Anyway not only am I so ready for a break and the holidays but I'm very excited for Idaho. I just want to see snow.Oh how I miss those fluffy flakes that fall from the sky. If it doesn't snow I might just cry.

Ready for the Holidays

First and foremost, I'd like to officially state how much I hate finals week. The whole idea makes my skin crawl. I can not tell you how ready I am for it to be all over. Between school/homework/studying/sleeping I haven't had much time to post anything and for that...I apologize. But come next Friday when all this torture is over, I will have something of interest for all of my lovely readers. :) I did however manage to squeeze in a haircut this week and I can't wait to show you! Who knew a simple change could make you feel so different? Anyways I might have something post-worthy tomorrow being that its Saturday, but if not next week for sure. [I promise!]

Mini Post

Today's post is somewhat of a mini post seeing as I have so many other things I need to do (like chemistry homework!) and I felt like I should leave my lovely readers with something. Hope you're having a wonderful Monday!

Playing in the Park

Doesn't she just look so excited?

Top: Crossroads Blouse: Macy's Jeans: Billabong

Yesterday we went to Prado Regional Park near my house to take photos for my grandmothers Christmas present. Shes super picky and only ever seems to like homemade gifts so this year we got her a huge collage frame that we are going to fill with the photos. I think (for shooting with my family) that they came out wonderful. The park was soo beautiful; it reminded me of my home in Pennsylvania. I really miss the nature part of living there and so this was like a little taste to satisfy my craving. I just found out that we are going to my Grandmother's house for Christmas this year! If you want nature it doesn't get more basic than Idaho. It snowed like 10 inches this past weekend! I haven't seen snow in over 3 years so I'm really excited. The only part I'm not to thrilled about it the 14 hour car ride with my parents, brother and dog. Should be interesting.

*Sorry for the over-load of pictures but I just couldn't decide*

A Few New Changes

I hope you like it!

As you can probably see I've made some changes to my blog. I had always intended for the first few months to be somewhat of a test run to see what works and what doesn't. Now I've revamped my blog and I must say I'm rather happy with it. A new name, a new color and some layout alterations.
With these changes also comes my re-dedication to the blog. I've had some great ideas stored in the back of my mind and now seems like the perfect time to bust them out. I'm going to start posting more frequently and feature more outfit posts as well as all other things fashion-related.

Being that its the first of the month [Happy December!] I'll carry on my tradition of a month inspired creation.

Under Construction

This is what I wore today. I just got this sweater this weekend and I absolutely adore it! Its cashmere and has an amazing print. Never before have I owned animal print. I was considering getting the sweater in red but changed my mind because fashion is one big experiment. It was something new that I had never tried before and while it might seem silly to you the thought of that excited me. :)
{I realize the photos are boring but I was in a hurry and it is so windy outside you can hardly stand!}

Collar under Sweater...♥

Some changes are coming!

I must point out that when I decided to start this blog it was a spur-of-the-moment-lets-do-something-crazy kind of idea. Never did I imagine having this much fun even though my blog is still new. This is the sort of thing that takes some thinking, starting a blog that is. You need to have a well thought out plan and clear goals in mind. Having that been said I don't regret my decision to do this even if it was a whimsy. This could possible be the best thing I have done for myself all year.
However as the third month comes to a close I have decided to make some changes. I have big plans in store for this little blog. A new layout, new post ideas, new design and possibly a new name. (For all you new bloggers out there don't make the same mistake as moi; carefully pick a name that you really love) I can't wait to finish it. I think you will all enjoy it much more than what I have now. Hopefully all my renovations will be complete by the end of the week.

I would like to extend my undying love to my followers (all 7 of you) and to all my readers. All of your comments result in a huge smile on my face. Thank you so very much for taking your time to stop by.

Love Always, Tiffany

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sweater: Gap Skirt: H&M

Well, I'll keep this short and sweet since most of you are busy eating turkey and what not. This is a rather simple look; very black-white & all the shades in between. I have a small family so Thanksgiving doesn't require too much dressing up but I suppose this outfit is more than my typical casual look. I am however very thankful for my beautiful new shoes! I just got them last night and I am in love. I have a lot of black shoes so I wanted something that wasn't black but still went with everything. I had also been looking for a cute pair of lace up booties so why not kill two birds with one stone...or turkeys for that matter.
Enjoy your holiday!

With Love, Tiff

A Walk in the Park

Sweater: Mom's Closet
Scarf: Old Navy
Jeans: Hollister
Boots: Macys

Today I found nothing good to wear in my closet so I uncharacteristically made my way to my moms closet where I found this brunt orange sweater. I've never even seen her wear it! It's a little big but it works. The trend this fall seems to be over sized sweaters anyway.

I paired it with a scarf I've had for years. I love the colors of it for 2 reasons. One: They work for any season; spring, summer, fall or winter. Two: It goes with almost anything in my closet. (and appaerently my moms too:) As usual I wore my favorite pocketwatch neaklace. I bought on ebay a few months back for .99 cents and it actually works! I love it. It's as simple as that.

I felt like taking a few photos outside since the sun decided to show itself. My brother and I took my dog for a walk in the park across the street and he was my little photographer. However I think next time we will leave Lucy at home. She has the attention span of a flea and wont sit still for photos. The second you say "walk" she goes absolutly balistic and once you're outside she just wants to run. For a little dog she sure causes a lot of trouble.

I have probably posted more pictures of Lucy than anything else. What can I say, I love my dog. She's just so darn cute. :)
