The Big Bang

Old Navy Tank
H&M Shorts Belt & Blazer
Vera Wang Tights
Forever 21 Necklace
American Eagle Watch

This was today's outfit; new wool shorts and over sized blazer. I was really happy with the outfit but not so much with these photos. I took like a bazillion and they all just looked so... blah. They really don't do this look any justice. It just wasn't my lucky day I suppose.
Anyway, tomorrow I'm going down to the Mission Inn to do some antique/vintage/thrift shopping so I'll let you know if I bring home any little treasures. :)

xoxo, Tiff

I've spent most of 2011 sleeping and shopping. Great start to a new year if you ask me. These are a few items I recently picked up. After a few rather unsuccessful trips I finally struck gold. I'm really excited to style these new pieces so expect some new outfit posts later this week. :)

Hello Twenty-Eleven

I don't think I've ever been so excited for the start of a new year. Don't get me wrong, last year was wonderful. Plenty of amazing things happened. Drove all across the west coast, became editor of my HS yearbook, started looking at potential colleges and so many other things. I couldn't possibly list them all. I think the most important thing that happened to me was starting this little blog. I had lost my passion for all things fashionable over the years. When I was a little girl I used to draw outfits all the time because I wanted to be a designer when I grew up. It seemed like over the years I lost that part of me. I started moving around and I wanted to fit in and make friends so badly that I fell into what I like to call the dark era of bad clothes. One day I decided that I wasn't going to dress like everyone else-I was going to wear what I liked; what I thought expressed myself best. And then it hit me. I had no idea what I liked to wear.I started reading other fashion blogs and scrolling through billions of pictures on Chictopia, I saw all these people who had the confidence to wear whatever they wanted and it truly inspired me and helped me to gain that same confidence. When I compare myself today to me a few months ago, the change is insane. I feel like these past few months I have really became one in my own. And not just fashion wise but all around. If all of that can happen in the last few months to 2010 then I can't wait to see what this new year has in store for me.

Blouse: Apt 9   Jeans: Gap   Belt: Abercrombie & Fitch   Purse: Vintage   Scarf: Vintage

I think todays outfit is the perfect way to start the new year; It pretty much sums up me. A little bit of old mixed with the new. Casual yet chic. Menswear inspired but girly and fun. I'm quite the oxymoron of fashion.
I hope everyone had an amazing new year and that this year continues to be a wonderful one!

As always, thank you for reading. I love each and everyone of my lovely readers. (Especially one from back home on the east coat. You know who you are. Happy New Year Girl!)

Ringing in the New Year

Sweater: American Eagle Pants: LC Bag: ASOS Necklace: Forever 21

I am in love with my new ASOS bag I got for X-mas

I can't belive it's already 2011. I still don't know what happened to 2010. I spent the last day of the year shopping with my mom and then a big dinner with everyone. No parties for me this year. Just a casual night at home watching movies and counting down the last few minutes of the year. It's strange to think that some parts of the world are a year ahead of me right know. I hope everyone has a fun (& safe) New Year and that 2011 holds many good things in store :)

Knit & Velvet: A Dangerous Combination

This is the much promised outfit post. I'm trying to be good by posting more lately. I guess I'm doing better than before and all you can ask for is improvement. I absolutely love this sweater. It's the over sized knit piece that I've been looking for. I had also been looking for something velvet. A top, skirt, dress; it didn't matter. Velvet is definitely in this holiday season. Then I stumbled upon these beauties. I had seen them before at a shop in Cali and (of course) they failed to have my size. Who knew I would find them, in my size, in Idaho. What luck! Anyways, I'm off to bake cookies and wrap gifts and all other kinds of holiday joy!
Just in case I don't post anything before Christmas I want to wish all my readers Happy Holidays!

Baby It's Cold Outside

After a 16 hour drive through 5 different states and I have finally made it to Idaho. I  haven't been this cold since I left the east coast. There's snow everywhere and its supposed to snow even more on Christmas. Maybe my dream of a White Christmas really will come true. For whatever reason I can't get my laptop to connect to the Internet so I'm using my grandmothers ancient computer and Ill be lucky if I can even get this posted.

Anyways, it has been super cold and I've been living in layers.Tonight were going out to visit family I haven't seen in who know how long so expect some type of "outfit post" today or tomorrow (depending on this computer)

We passed my beloved city of Las Vegas around 6 am

The Not-So-Grand-Canyon (My brother thought it was the actual one)

Lucy loved looking at the passing scenery. I wonder what she's thinking...

Ever been to Beaver, Utah? I have.

Snowy conditions set us back about an hour but I was just happy it was snowing :)

Christmas is just a few days away! I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday. All of your comments have made me a very happy blogger. I promise to return them as soon as I have a working computer that doesn't take 10 minutes to load a page. Thank you for reading; it means the world!

New Hair for the Holidays

Jacket: Hurley
I can’t tell you all how excited I am for the Holidays! Finals are (finally) over, school is out until the New Year and Christmas is only a few days away. It couldn’t get much better. It’s supposed to rain for the next few days here which is quite a surprise seeing little rains here in the valley. Even when it does rain we Southern Californians still feel the need to wear shorts. Seeing how it was cold and rainy I slipped on my black tights to keep my legs warms and dry. I’ve had this coat for ever and I just love it. It’s perfect for a rainy day. It has a certain chic appeal but the soft fabric makes it comfortable enough for everyday wear. Plus it’s such a bright color that makes event the darkest of day’s fun.
This past week I got my hair done. Not too much of a change as far as length goes but I opted for straight bangs instead of my normal side swept ones and I must say I’m rather happy with them. Something new for the holiday season and a good way to start 2011 which is just around the corner.
